Sekenani Camp - Masai Mara, Kenya

Simple
elegance and luxury is the Sekenani style. An observatory, built from local river
rock overlooking a stream, is an ideal spot from which to observe animals coming
to drink, as well as a vast population of birds.
The presence of a resident ornithologist
to identify the many varieties is of great interest for bird-watchers.

A suspension
bridge leads to the dining room - a log and canvas structure, open at both ends
to permit maximum light and air. Emphasis
is on fresh gourmet meals and menus are announced by an immaculate waiter.
A wide
terrace, opening off the dining area, is another view point where guests can sit
and enjoy a refreshing drink.
Part of Sekenani's charm is the special atmosphere
that goes with being small. Its fifteen tents are raised on wooden platforms and
set well apart amid lush vegetation. Attractively furnished, they are lit by night
with gentle light of hurricane lamps.
A full length bath is a feature of each
tent's ensuite bathroom and a hot bath is a great luxury after a day in the bush.
