Bateleur Camp - Masai Mara, Kenya

Bateleur Camp at Kichwa Tembo nestles in a lush riverine forest, overlooking the vast plains of the Masai Mara. Situated within sight of the Mara River, with the Oloololo Escarpment, one of the "steps" of The Great Rift Valley, as a dramatic backdrop.

The camp offers its guests one of Kenya's best game viewing experiences, and exceptional standards of service from the warm, professional and attentive Kenyan staff.

Bateleur Camp tented suites have polished floors,crisp linen clad, wooden framed beds cooled by the rhythm of ceiling fans.

Nine safari tents under wooden roofs, and a treasure trove of beautiful antiques,and books reflect the ambience of Kenyan safaris of the 20s and 30s.The camps contain expansive en suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, private butler service and elegant guest areas.

Glass walled showers, twin hand basins and a separate flush w.c are en suite with forest views.The camp also features a deep lap pool and a small African gift shop.
